The cheapest energy supplier... for you, not for everyone

This page is about the CHOICE between suppliers: any list of "the cheapest supplier right now" starts from an average usage profile that isn't yours. The only way to know who's most affordable for YOU is to calculate it using your own, measured usage.

Why "the cheapest" doesn't exist as a fixed name

Two households with exactly the same yearly usage can pay a different amount at the same supplier, depending on exactly when they use electricity, whether they have solar panels, and how their usage splits between day and night. A ranking built on one average profile is at best an indication โ€” never an answer for your specific situation.

What a fair comparison actually needs

Your own, measured quarter-hourly usage (from your smart meter), recalculated against the current tariffs of multiple suppliers โ€” fixed, variable, AND dynamic contracts โ€” produces a figure that's specific to you, fixed fees included and, with solar panels, the feed-in compensation.

This tool currently works for Fluvius customers (Flanders). Our calculations run on the public V-test data from VREG, the Flemish energy regulator. Wallonia (CWaPE) and Brussels (BRUGEL) run their own regulators and data โ€” we don't pull from those yet.

Where the tariffs come from

We use the public V-test data from VREG, the Flemish energy regulator, updated monthly with every supplier's products and their exact price components โ€” no estimated prices, no sponsorship from a supplier that could influence the outcome.

Making the choice yourself

We don't name a "best" supplier ourselves โ€” you see every recalculated alternative next to your current contract, with the difference in euros per year. That way you decide, based on your own numbers, whether switching is worth it.
